Call me misguided, but I would assume that actually serving in Vietnam trumps staying home any day of the week, regardless of what actually happened over there. It takes a true and real devotion to your country to actually go into the army and fight and to the best of my knowledge only one of the two major candidates can say they saw real, true combat.
Yet, Bush still leads polls in the Defense and National Security issues, go figure.
