id say ruby coz you have to deal with those arm/tenticle things. very annoying, but yeah with emerald most problems can be overcome like the time limit

Honestly I don't know what you are all talking about. They are both relatively easy.

Yadda yadda yadda. Try fighting both without materia, and you'll see which one's harder. Emmy's a cake-walk. Ruby, without paralysis and killing off two of your characters, is practically impossible to beat.

Both have their strategies that make them easier to beat. Emmy's is just don't equip a ton of materia, and then pound away. For Ruby, you have to kill off both of your characters, have Hades and KotR(or master summon), W-Summon, and Mime, and then pray that you can recast Hades before he gets an Ultima off. Saying Ruby's easy because of all that is like saying they're both pansies because Cait Sith can kill them in one move.

Hmm, you can beat him without any of those things, though it takes a long time and you have to have a pretty powerful character. He is actually fairly hard if you do that.

Guys, what is this Hades you speak of? I killed Ruby in 15 minutes w/o using him. I just connected final attack and phoenix, mime, KOTR, and frequently used cure 3, regen, and full cure. If that doesn't say he was a VERY easy boss, I don't know what does. I watched my brother take on a 3-hour long battle USING Hades and he STILL died. This goes to say Emerald is harder, just because I knew nothing of his Aire Tam Storm attack effect until just now. If I would've known about the materia thing, ohhhh that bastard...let's just say i would've saved 1435445 battles of losses to him.

Exactly. Ruby can be freakin' hard, even with Hades, if you're unlucky.

He doesn't, though. He has a one-hit KO if you're stupid enough to equip a ton of materia. It's not that hard to unequip all those useless ones.

Yea, "I" belive you. It's just that if Ruby's not paralysed she (I like to think of Ruby as a girl ) will counter KotR with Ultima... which does pretty much dammage...

U can beat Ruby with the hero dirnk move too... but you have to do the kill off characters move... then ish simple-fied... ^_~ too easy... =P

The only thing is that this prevent you from miming the KotR. But, hey... I would say ANYTHING is easy with KotR so... yea... I belive you. I'm just telling you why Raistlin didn't belive you. When I beat Ruby my first time I used Quadra BahamutZERO instead. (I never got a Gold Chocobo )
