well, to be honest i havent beaten either of them but i have come to find that emerald seems to be harder because ruby wepon has most of his attacks things that are cominly defended against and not as physical in other words a few ribbons and u can take him way down where as emerald is much more spuratic and more physical in his attacks also ruby's attacks are easier to recover from, but when emerald hits you he makes sure he hits you good.

i would say that ruby and emerald are both as equally as hard. both suck but i would have to say the easier of the two would be ruby......i dunno

i cant kill either of them, but emerald is harder because without underwater materia you only have 20 min. plus i was killed in TWO turns and i lasted abouted a minute against ruby

Emerald is the worst, because of the Aeria Storm attack. I didn't have any problem swith Ultima, and Ruby is quite easy, as it isn't imune to status attacks.

Seeing how everyone knows how to beat both weapons. (Ruby - kill two guys, uses Hades. Emerald - equip minimal materia and get Underwater Materia. Both - KOTR + Mime) I don't think you can say one is harder than the other. Nor can you say that they're hard at all. Perhaps the first people to FF7, who had to get by with forums, FAQs, walkthroughs, guides etc. had a hard time with them. Aire Tam Storm would have frustrating if you didn't understand the principle behind it. But Ruby's claws would have witted out the best of them.

My opinion is that Emerald was harder. Ruby was susceptable (sp?) to status effects and didn't have any attacks that couldn't be Elixer-ed and Esuna-ed. Emerald would pretty much just attack and do a tonne of damage and in my opinion, that's how the big bosses should be.

Ruby and Emmerald... they'r both to easy but I think Emmerald is the harder one.

Ultimate Weapon is the hardest... to find.

No, seriously, I'd have to say Emerald. That Aire Tam attack causes you to equip minimal materia (so long as you know why), and because of the timer, you have to equip at least one materia, Underwater (unless you do that limit mime trick to defeat him in under 20:00min.). I think Squaresoft intended Emerald to be harder, which would be why you get the awsome prizes after beating it, but after beating Ruby, the only prize you get is a crappy Gold Chocobo (not good for races).

well for me there both easy, i beat them like 100 times, but if i had to chose it would be emerald.

I would say the Ruby weapon is harder for me it was pretty easy to beat the emerald weapon once you got u butt kicked a couple of times u really kind of think to do what you didn't do the last time you fought him.

I'd say Ruby is by far the hardest. Emerald is just a push over, once you know what you're doing and/or have Underwater Materia. And, Ultimate...... WHAT ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? He's the easiest of all the bosses in the game.... except for the final, kill him with omnislash, sephiroth, I guess.

P.S. please don't make a big deal about my, Ultimate being the easiest, claim. I was just trying to make a point.

Yeah, i put ultimate in there because he is a weapon, eventhough he is eazy. I wanted all fightable weapons to be there.
