Swearing young

First off don't swear too much in this thread, I don't want the mods to put anthrax in my oatmeal.

But when was the age when you first started swearing and you knew what they ment?

When I was growing up my grand parents were strict about how bad it is for kids to swear so litterally I never sword when I was little, even when I was by myself. I think I first started cussing like a sailor when I was about 13, and I think the incident that sparked that was when I was working in woodshop and I hit my thumb with a hammer and shouted "Damnit" really loud.

Well, the firts time I sweared and KNEW what it meant was probably 4th, maybe even 3rd grade. It doesn't take long for little kids these days. But I don't do it so much. Either it will come out accidentally, if I stub my toe or something, or maybe if I'm really, really mad. I try not to make it a habit, and just use other, strange words in place of them.

Probably when I was 4 or 5, but I thought them as evil and never used them until I was about 14.

probably around 3rd grade or so... although i didn't use them in front of any adults. It was around the age of 12 or 13 that i started telling my mother to "F*** off!" I did that for a few years but i have since stopped. I swear semi often, but I do my best to refrain from being malicious or rude to people. In other words, i don't tell people to "F*** off" anymore.

Mommy didn't say bad words but Daddy did all the time and it made me sad.

I don't remember when I started swearing. I don't really swear often, and it's usually just at Ashley when I do. No big whoop.

Learned fairly early on what most of the words meant, probably because I was so into movies growing up and heard just about everything.

Still don't swear very often, and sometimes make a point to find other words to use in there place.

My parents/friends/relatives all swear, so I became accustomed to it at a fairly early age. I went through a expletive using phase when I first moved out of home, but thankfully I've curbed it nicely, and now only use nice, ladylike language.

i think i started swearing when i was 11.

I knew a couple of words at age 8 or so, but didn't learn any of the particularly 'bad' stuff for a few years after that. I don't swear often in everyday life, but when disaster strikes I become a fountain of expletive rage. Hooray.

In Kindergarten and in grade one, a kid I knew liked calling people the fuller version of a-hole, but I had no idea what it meant at the time. I guess that's my first swearing experience, but I've heard that when I was around five, I called my cousin's friend an f-ing b-ch. The funny thing is, we were all on a bus at the time, and I'm told I was running up and down the bus yelling "F-ING B-CH! F-ING B-CH!"

A few years ago, I met the bus driver of the time that happened, and he laughed when he saw me.
