Probably. At least let it be a lesson to be very careful when you write out urls. But just like last time this happened, staff cant be going 'maybe it was an accident'. Sometimes it is, but others it's just an excuse so... insta-ban, no fuss. Woo.
edit: Oh, and GLR, if they get another account somehow, they're insta-banned as soon as someone finds out it's them.
Soo....even if it wasn't done on purpose they are screwed? Doesn't sound like justice to me.
Two guys can be baned for life. One who accidently attached porn instead of a picture of his cat because the file name was "Pussy" Another who made 10 topics called "OMFG LEIK ROFL!" and posted 30 porn pictures in each.
The guy who tripped going down the stairs and fell on an old lady shouldn't get the same punishment that a serial murderer does.
We've already had this argument, check the feedback forum for it. Yes, that's the rule. Boo-hoo. It's not justice if everyone can get away with it by saying it was an accident either, now is it? It'd be free liscense to post porn and go "Oops! Wrong url." and get away scott-free.
And we arent talking about murder and jail sentences here, it's a ban from a message board. When you get banned, it's simple to move on and chat somewhere else. It isnt the end of the world.
I somehow think we should have a archived page just listing everyone banned and why. I'm always wondering who got banned and why myself.

That'd be cool! Usually just searching for all their posts and reading the last four or five makes the ban reason obvious. Not always, though.

No, he didn't. Someone asked for a picture of a certain model, and he posted a url for a site with plenty of nude pictures of her. I doubt it was an accident.

Actually, I can see how it <i>was</i> an accident. It had the Google Image Search bar still at the top showing the thumbnail of the pic he thought he was posting a link to. He could have just been looking at the Google image search page, found the picture, and right-clicked it to find the URL, not realizing that the URL Google gives on the image search is one to the original page of the image, in this case being a page with a photoset including the non-nude picture he found, but also including a bunch of nekked ones.
But yeah. Nothing we can do about it now.
And I think that the banning listing would be cool. Maybe put a link to it in the FAQ as an example of what to and what not to do.
