You know those hover things that all the students ride around in galbadia garden? During Vietnam The US developed a similar model with fan power instead of rocket power to replace the helicopter. They decided that it was clumsy and hard to control. They canned it.

If they decided to perfect it.....maybe it would have caught on and become a practical mode of transportation.

Do you think thats where the creators of Final Fantasy 8 got the idea?

They borrow names from alot of cultures. What would stop them from borrowing an aircraft, then pimping it up?
