NJ Governor Resigns Due To Gay Affair

At first, I thought it was a complete hoax, but I received a call from a family friend who works in the NJ legistature and it is indeed true. This is VERY shocking news.

I cannot help but feel bad for his family as well as other people involved in this matter. If he had just been a Homosexual, I don't think this would be a problem, or I hope not at least, but because it was an affair, I believe he had no other choice but to resign.

One of CNN's show i watched had an non-scientific online poll, and in the span of an hour it said 67% of people WOULD vote for a Gay politician and 33% wouldnt.


Those numbers kinda suprised me, in a happy way. Things are going in the right direction, theres becoming less and less discrimination based on sexual oreintation.

Just thought that was relevant to Escobar's post.

I agree that it is good. I wasn't saying that I wouldn't vote in a gay but my guess was that most of the nation wouldn't.

You know, people are all talking about how his wife has stood by his side through all of this. That's so bizarre to me. Like Hillary "standing by" Bill. I think it really shows you exactly what the sanctity of marriage becomes when politcs are involved.
