Tifa low damage

I am currently in the Midgar underground (after the northern crater shield has been broken), and tifa is suddenly doing ultra-low dmg with premium soul. She is hitting for like 80-90 dmg (my other chars are doing 4000+ and her str and atk is actually a few pts higher). I stripped her of all materia and the problem still persisted. The thing is, when i change her glove for another one, such as god's hand, the dmg returns to normal. This only started once i started midgar underground. I have tried reloading but to no avail.

With gods hand she only does around 1500 dmg -_-

I had the same problem and it really made me mad.
I don't know why this happens.I finally used the God's hand.

No i don't think that thats the problem. Tifa had full health all the times i encountered this. And beatrix, did the problem persist for the whole of the remainder of the game? If so, i might consider switching to another char entirely.

Yeah,unfortunately.And i had too full health and Tifa made only around 400-500 damage! :shame: At least with God's hand made 3000-3500.

Her weapon is stronger when your limit break gauge is full.

No, that information is outdated and it's never been true for me. Tifa always does more damage with her Premier Heart in my games when her limit break gauge keeps increasing. Give her Fury status and avoid using her limit break unless it's a boss fight or something. Keeping her limit gauge maxed = keeping the damage of her physical attacks maxed. So instead of unleashing her limit breaks, use something like Deathblow and equip her with Counter Attack materias, and she'll attack the enemies for major damage.

Base Damage = Att + [(Att + Lvl) / 32] * [(Att * Lvl) / 32]
Damage = Damage * [Base + Bonus] / 16
Base: 1
Bonus: [Limit Level * Limit Units] / 16

Limit Units = 0-255
