    Default Eizon World Challenge #1

Ok, this will involve every nation.

This is the first World Challenge. We are starting off, and explorers from each nation are exploring the undiscovered land beyond their nation's boundaries. Within Eizon, there will be world wonders. They can be natural wonders, they can be wonders from a lost civilization, or they can be unnatural wonders. How many wonders will there be on Eizon? Who knows.

Your challenge, is to discover these world wonders of Eizon. In this thread, you will be posting what your nation has discovered. And by the end of the week, BoB and I will select which wonders are actually real wonders of Eizon, or not.

    Get exploring!

Nait: Once all the world wonders are found, can you possibly add them in the map?

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

No, you'll basically be describing the wonder, and if you can. post a picture of where it's located on the map, or something.

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

I've already described Vedriet and Sacersanct Peaks. Do those count?

They're already in the map, but I guess they could count. I was hoping for something like, pyramids, canyons, crators, lost temple, etc...

chaos: Alright, I've got the location planned out. A village found in the forest of Riador, outside of Vincentland.

Rubedo: I will put down where it is on the map on a picture soon. Thanks!

The Temple of the Breathing Spring

Built in the 100's by Shinto believers on one of the hot geysers near the volcano on Ahma, the Temple of the Breathing Spring is a shrine built around a small tower, which is connected to the geyser.
Every two hours the geyser – called the Breathing Spring – erupts into a hot shower of magma-heated water, which is led to the tower protruding from the Temple, and from there high into the air, from where it rains back upon the temple.
The monks of the temple are expert time keepers, and ring gongs before every eruption, day or night, to warn all about the water. The temple complex is riddled with roofed by-ways, from which one can easily find shelter from the water, even though the air has cooled it somewhat.

    The RuneBeast carving

in the mountain rage above Rune(vincetland) the seems to be something carved into the rock. it is hard to make out be it looks like a mythical creature of somekind. mabe one that live in these mountains.
it looks very similar to a bemoth yet it does not have a tail, instead there is the neck and head of a dragon carved into thethe beasts behind. this may be his tail or a completerly different creature living in the mountains.

    The Valokoto Labyrinth

Valkea is known throughout Eizon as a religious capital devoted to the practice of Sinihengellisyys. It is also a well known fact that Päi, The Goddess of the Sun is the single idol that the people of Valkea all worship.

However, an interesting "fun fact" that only the most experience scholars of Valkean religion would have been aware of is the wonder that is the Valokoto Labyrinth. Valkea, although now a united religious capital was once divided and each distinct race worshipped a different god of the Sinihengellisyys religion.

Explorers have found a deserted village outside the mainland of Ahma on the eatern small island of Hermes. The symbols found on the central temple is that of the Valokoto Sun-Ankh, still used in Valkea today. The location of the village and the ankh give the explorers reason to believe that this village was home to the exiled worshippers of Väinä, The God of the Seas.

Deep underground the seemingly small and archaologically useless village is an intricate "labyrinth." The name is ambigious as the Valokoto Labyrinth is more or less an underground tower, going over 20 levels underground. Constant underground volcanic pressure near the surface forced the original builders and craftsmen to build constantly downwards, further into the ground with each passing generation.

For many years, since the fourth century, it was believed that all 20 levels have been found and excavated. However, due to complete coincidence, a volcanic aftershock has caused a breaking of the pillars in the lower floors, thus revealing a new maze of corridors and rooms, at least three times the size of any other. It is believed that the peak of Valkean craftsmanship can be found on the walls of this level. Depicted on the walls is Päi, not Väinä. Because of this, scholars believe that this was the birth of the modern Valokoto relgious practise in Valkea and throughout the world of Eizon.
