Beserk is a cool (Simple?) way to do it.

But, so you know, There is a form of attack that triggers him to use reset. It's probably physical attacks, or it may be magic; I don't remember. But you're just not supposed to use that form of attack, and then he becomes quite easy to defeat.

Same kind of thing with the other boss in that area, I believe.
