What happened in florida during the 2000 election was some people weren't allowed to vote. I think what was supposed to happen was they were making it so convicted fellons couldn't vote as usual, but they made damn sure that people very similar to those fellons couldn't vote either. Like say, people with the same last name. Now, the amount of black people in prison compared to white people is much higher. Many african americans share similar last names, thus making it so quite a few african americans could not vote. Blacks almost ALWAYS vote democrat. And apparently a few other things happened that im not sure of, but the thing about this is the lady who made all of these decisions in florida was bush's florida campaign manager or something like that. I really don't know a whole lot about all of thi,s but that is what i have picked up. Correct me if you know more about this than i do.

That is true nik, and while I believe otherwise it could have been a screw up. I dont think it was.

I also read reports of police setting up road blocks and detaining black people who were on their way to the polls, usually until the polls closed (and yes, black people do tend to vote Democratic).

And then there was the nonsense with the confusion about the actual ballots, and the hanging chads crap...

Y'know, I, in a way, agree, slightly, with FoA.

But I do enjoy my Bushism with irony, which is why the "and so do we" freudian is my current favourite.

    "We stand for things."

Uh-huh. Now, what kinds of things again? Just because we all see exactly what you mean, we'd like you to expound on your ideas of things.
    How disgusting
