Ice. Ice by far. This is coming from someone whose Champions of Norrath and Phantasy Star Online characters' names are Ice, and whose Final Fantasy XI character's name is Icewires.

Ice is by far the coolest element. Just say it. Say it out loud. Go on. See how smoothly it rolls off the tongue? Ice is cool in the "I'm going to poke fun at myself even though it's still cool" sort of way as oppose to the "I'm trying too hard to be cool" sort of vibe from Fire and Lightning.

I guess fire could be sort of cool in a pyromaniac sort of way like Decus from Star Ocean. I haven't seen a cool showing for the lightning element ever since Raul Julia pulled of that final battle in the Street Fighter movie.
