Alright I know it's not a good idea to get rid of system restore but I was just wondering if theres a way to do it. I know how to disable it but that doesn't seem to get rid of the memory used... so is there any way to stop it from taking up 2GB?

I seriously got this the first time I tried it.

under the turn off option is a slider, slide it as far left as possible and it goes down to about 20 megs...
What do I do if the slider is there but it won't let me move it?

Enable System Restore, slide it, Disable System RestoreOriginally Posted by Sephiroth2088

If it's disabled though, it shouldn't be taking up any space on the drive.

With/without disabling system restore, just do: My Computer > Right click on c:\ (or any other drive that has restore on) > properties > disk cleanup > let it calculate (it can take a while) > more options > system restore > clean up > yes > ok > ok/yes
