Dark Matter?

Hey guys do you know where can i find Dark Matter items?(except from killing Battle Arena creatures and Dark Aeons?)

Except for those? Nowhere, unless capturing 5 of every monster doesn't count as the Battle Arena (you get 99).

nope. i was wondering the same thing, till kottos (super boss at the monster arena) dropped 2 of em after i dismantled him . i don't know what you can get by using them 2 equip 2 a weapon, but in battle they're pretty useless becuz aeons can do like 99,999 damage neway. even my characters can break the 9999 limit. dark matter is just like casting ultima. it does about 15,000 2 each monster. don't waste ur time unless there's something im missing abuot equiping them 2 a weapon?

I cannot do this thing with the thunders to get the final weapon for lulu,so i want to make a very good for her which has the ability of "breaking damage limit" and this requires a lot of dark matters.

well, it's mighty admirable of you, but if you want the onion knight to have break damage limit for the aeon (forgot which 1 it effects), then u only need the celestial weapon (i think). but if u want lulu 2 actually break damage limit, then i suggest collecting either 5 of every monster (not sure if it'l work, according 2 the other guy's post), or pray that ull get lucky with the lighting doder mini game. hope i helped a little

You can bribe a Land Worm whitch can be found somewhere inside sin for 2 dark matters... but that will cost you 1,600,000 gil. So... you'll have to pay alot if you want 60... also, I think you can win dark matters in the Blitzball game.

But keep in mind that customised weapons will never be as good as the celestial ones, even if their abilities are identical. Celestial weapons ignore defence and normally do 99999 dmg. Customised weapons behave like normal weapons, and you'll only be doing about 20000 dmg on the likes of the Dark Aeons.

I know. :shame: But i have not another choice,it's so difficult this task with the thunders. I guess it's better from nothing.

just take a little break after 20 dodgings, and it's kinda easy...

Well i can't see Lulu using the "flare" for example and doing 9999damage only.If it can do 30000-40000 why not to try it?

Well, the other characters can also learn Flare (and all the other black magics).
Sorry, if you like Lulu alot, then ofcourse you should use her.

Anyway, why don't you figth in the battle arena? That's a pretty good way to get Dark Matters.

I think it was luck or maybe just a glitch but sometimes Cactuar King dropped Dark Matters like mad, make sure to overkill him in every battle so you can get item x2..
Cactuar wont dodge overdrives and has crappy HP so just hit him with some 9999 damage first and then use Blitz Ace + 9999 damage in each hit and youre done, if you are skilled with Wakka`s attack reels much better..

I know the other characters can learn too flare(this was just an example),but like you said i like lulu a lot and i want to use her.Anyways thanks for the advices all of you.
