Also you can purchase a router and use that instead of the modem they give you free, and that means you don't have to leave one computer on all the time to service the others with the internet.

I'd definately recommend a router, especially a wireless one. I've noticed that Linksys 802.11G routers are relatively cheap, as are 802.11b. If all you do is planning on internet and not swapping files from computer to computer, I'd recommend 802.11b, since it'll save you money. And Linksys is a recommended brand, since they are known for their security.

Of course, you could always get a good ol' wired router and save yourself even more.
