Terorists to attack internet

For one, there is no "internet", as such, since it's lots and lots of servers and lots of and lots of ISPs, it'd have to be very well organised to paralyse the ENTIRE internet. You'd need a few million computers to do that many Denial of Service attacks or the like, considering how many you need just to paralyse a few PCs.

A denial of service attack could never destory the internet. The only real way would be to destory the 14 or so DNS servers all at once so they can't back up. It almost happened a year or so ago. They took out quite a few and now I do believe they are more up to date security wise.

While destorying the DNS wouldn't eliminate the net because servers still exist, you couldn't type in www.eyesonff.com anymore. You would have to type crazy stuff in like 124.54.254.2 and see where that leads you and hope you don't end up at a porno site. Don't type that into your browser. I have no clue where it goes and it was a random example.

Well you can all know it's not gonna happen. It is August the 26th here in Australia and no sign of it not working, The internets been on here for about 6 hours, and nothing happened. There's been no news reports on it, nothing, so I can safely say it's all alright
