I finally decided to stop MASTERing crap and take on Sephiroth (after beating Emeral and Ruby WEAPONs, of course). Now that I've beaten Final Fantasy VII, I'm moving on to Final Fantasy VIII.

CONGRADULATE ME OR BE SPRAYED BY FISH!

No, just kidding. Those are the same fish from my intro in 'General Chat,' so they'll spary you anyway .

P.S. I had three Master Magics, four Master Commands, and three Master Summons. All without using any GameShark (or any other cheat device) codes . Granted, one of each was from the Kalm traveler, but I still got the others by MASTERing crap.

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!!
You're great. (I gave up to beat Emeral and Ruby WEAPONs.)
I'll show you my favourite victory dance.
By the way, I replay FFVIII now.
And, I just finished Disc 1.
    So, good luck to you.

I've already beaten VII through X-2 and Tactics before, but now I'm replaying them . I'll eventually get into I through VI, but I never really liked the 2-D versions (fighting every 5 steps gets annoying fast).

Thanks for the congrats. . Oh, and I used some nasty tricks to beat Emerald and Ruby.

    For Emerald:
I MASTERed six Mimes and Counters, then equip them to Cloud, who had a full level4 limit guage and the Ultima Weapon equip. When the battle started, I used a Hero Drink on Cloud, then used Omnislash. After Emerald attacked me, Cloud mimed the Omnislash six times in a row (since it was the last move used, but characters can only mimic their own limits). After that, I needed to heal, so I did. Then I used Knights Of The Round. Then all that was needed was a Catastrophe from Barret .

    For Ruby:
I had my other two character KOed from the get go, so Ruby would bury his claws immediately, and I could revive the others to have a full three person party fighting Ruby. Then I just kept using W-Summon Hades & Knights Of The Round. Then, if necessary, I healed. Then I waited for Ruby to unparalyze so it wouldn't wear off in the middle of another KOTR (Ruby counters KOTR with Ultima if it's not paralyzed by Hades, or anything else that can paralyze it). After a short while, Ruby was out before I thought it would be .

Well done! Nothing like trashing a final boss with a huge collection of bright shiny materia!

I suggest starting with VI then. There's a way to stop random encounters (similar to Diablos' Enc-None). Plus it has the best plot of the first six (except maybe IV).

Good job. I just sorta wandered down to fight Sephiroth. I never leveled up so I was around level 48 or so, since I never ran away either. Beat the crap out of him, fun times.

As far as FFVI goes, you can obtain relics to lower chances of fighting or not fight at all. So that's no excuse.

Yeah, and how early/late do you get those? Huh? Yeah, pretty late, isn't it? I've played through a lot of FFV and FFVI, but I eventually got tired of fighting so damn much. Well, that and I deleted the file when I had to format the card because it got all messed up.

Thanks Behold the Void and beatrix9.

Hey Jolts, when mastering materia did u have any problems with space? cause i got like 8 master summon, magic and command so all characters could have them (i,m a retard like that) but the materia over spilled unexpectdly. i lost the added cut and an Enemy skill materia which was a real bitch

I started to, so I just put a bunch of not-so-needed materia on characters that I wasn't using . After MASTERing all that I needed, I wanted to see if I had more than 200, but I only really had 199. Eh, better safe than sorry .

As early as eight to ten hours into the game. In fact, you can beat FFVI in under 10 hours. Thanks. :twak:

No, maybe you can, but I know I wouldn't be able to. I like to take my time. You're welcome.

Also, if you're beating the game in ten hours, and it takes eight hours to get whatever we're talking about (I can't remember the name...Moogle Charm, I think), then it sounds like you'll have to play through about 80% of the game...
