i finally ofound the tutorial after liek 3 minutesof searching!!!hooray. but i missed the obvious/is there a way to do the banner making stuff wit only paint

There is, but you can't do blending. You can do a few things with the spray tool by spraying white and then cut and pasting onto another image, but nothing too special. The image I used in my first try already had a black background. I just added some more background to it and sprayed on some stars and drew a puddle like thing under her foot along with putting her name on it. You might have trial run of Paint Shop Pro on your computer. It depends on how old it is.

Edit again: Taking down the attachment...Crash's comment below was about the attachment. It was my first try in paint, if you're wondering.
