It was never 'announced' as in 'Square has plans to create Chrono Break la la la'. All that happened was Square copyrighting the name, but they've let it expire. So they arent making a sequel, at least with that last name.

I heard they dropped it and got Chrono Brake instead because Break was a mistranslation. Who knows, I sure don't.

I was talking to Square-Enix's president, the other day, and he told me that the new one's going to be called Chrono Snap.
