SP2 hosts file doesn't work

(Don't chastise me for having SP2 -- that's so not helpful heh)

Anyway, I installed a fresh copy of XP with SP2, and transferred my saved hosts file over. It *should* block the ads in aim and icq. But it doesn't. Is the server different or what?

And no I'm not downloading any other messenger/operating systems.
