I think Tetsuya Nomura stated somewhere that he'd like to have the Advent Children out in the big screen, but he also said he doesn't want to delay its release too much and that a cinema release is very unlikely since the team doesn't want the movie to become another FF: TSW that will bring Square Enix major losses.
