chaos: A lot of stuff to cover. Sadly, I will have to post a lot of stuff...

Official Release Date and Review

The release date of Xenosaga Episode II, is going to be somewhere around the date of February 2005. Knowing Namco, it might be released later, and as Final Fantasy XII is being released on the same month, might it cause a greater rivalry between Monolith and Square Enix? According to current reviews about Xenosaga II from played demo's, and people that have actually played the game it has been given a 70% maximum mark. Although, all of this might change as many other gamers decide to play XS II when it is released. Zenosaga.com has exclusive information on XS II, and have given a preview/review on the game. A very detailed one in fact. It also has character biographies, and things on the AGWS.

Characters

There are many characters in XSII, the "main" ones are:

Rubedo- He will play a large role in this game, and will have his own side story with the other two URTV's Albedo and Nigredo. He is claimed to be the main character, as the story seems to be revolving around him in the game...

Shion- She has a new look in this game, once she loses her glasses. She returns to second Miltia, and meets up with her brother. She is still given a large role in this game, but not as big as the one in the first game...

chaos- The mystery behind him still lurks in this game. Although, you can find out that he and Wilheim have a rivalry which may have lasted for a very long time. Their designs are very similar too. More of his past will be revealed in newer Xenosaga games...

Canaan- Canaan is a realian that seemed to have leped chaos save others in the past. More will be revealed of him later...

Jin- Yaep, Shion's badass looking brother. Apparently, he has had a rivalry with Margulis, and it will go out through the whole game. He seems to play a very large role in this game...

Ziggy/Ziggarat8- He's back in this game too, except, a bit more minor than the first one. But still, he does play a vital role in the game's plot. Apparently, he meets up with Ms. Mizrahi with MOMO. Wonder how things will turn out?

KOS-MOS- Shion isn't the only one that got a new look! KOS-MOs, now having a more slender body, is going to be quite important in this game, especially to Wilheim...

MOMO- Xenosaga II changed a lot of people's looks, and MOMO was one that had it done greater than the others. Looking a lot older, and with a new weapon, MOMO meets up with her creator that doesn't love her, Juli...

Sakura- MOMO was based on this girl, Joachim's daughter, who sadly died. Now she lives in her own dream area, a nice peaceful setting and a home. She is a great part of the storyline.

Margulis- The one holding a large grudge against Jin is in this game, with the same wicked cool looks he used to have. Now we realize who he really bows down to now in this game...

Pellegri- The woman that had almost no use in the first game, is now playing a larger role in Episode II. Maybe even more than Margulis, as she decides to take matters into her own hands...

Nigredo- The URTV possesed by Dr.Yuriev plays a role as large as the one he played in the first one. Jr's so called brother, and one of the surviving URTV's...

Albedo- # 669 isn't happy about the past, and what happened to him thanks to the song of Nephilim. Now, the diabolical villan, who did acts unimaginable in the first game, continues his tendency, and returns in this game, with a cooler type look later on in this game. He will probably be given the title of "Main villan" of Episode II...

Wilheim- The calm and controlled leader of Vector. He has many pawns in his hands, that are very powerful indeed. This rising menace might be the great enemy of the Xenosaga series...

AGWS and Battle

The AGWS, which have now been given a better design, will be playing a way larger role in this game, rather than being those weak, slow machines that you never, EVER want to use, like in the first game. The AGWS can only be used in select fights, and can never be disembarked by will, yet, are left as a part of the story. Lets put it this way, AGWS cannot be boarded and left at will, yet the storyline chooses when an AGWS will be in battle. Now, the so-called "improved" battle system comes into play. First of all, it will not be such a tedious task to destroy an enemy. Xenosaga II's battle system has speeded up, and is not like the slow XSI battle system. But, one thing that is slower, is the loading time. If you thought getting into a battle, or a boss fight in Episode I was hard, Xenosga II takes way more time. The screen of battle gradually comes into view, and takes about thirteen seconds, if not, more. Forgivable? Who Knows?

Miscallaneous and Links

Not much goes under here, besides what you get from loading the clear data from playing Episode I. You guessed it, swimsuits for everybody! The designs on the people seem improved and more detailed. And for once, you can see KOSMOS and Ziggy in them. That just largens the greatness of the game. Another secret that may make fans quite excited about the game is that, now, when you load the clear data, you get access to an epilouge that isn't too short, yet not too long. Many bosses appear in the Epilouge, plus, Gnosis' power beyond your wildest dreams!

www.zenosaga.com- probably the best site for any Xenogears/Xenosaga info. Live coverage of a lot of things. The only downfall is that they have cancelled registration

www.rpgamer.com- Yes, they have revealed quite a lot of information on this game, and normally have a lot of information in their Japandemonium, etc. Apparently, Xenosaga II is one of their most important things to find out news about.

www.gamespot.com- Not too much news on Xenosaga II, but a load of movies that can get you more enticed about the game, and things about it. A decent amount of screenshots comes with that.

www.ign.com- This site has a lot of screenshots and movies for Xenosaga. Check out their gameplay movies and trailers. A great source for some Xenosaga stuff.

Xenosaga is really starting to grow on me and is catching up with the FF series. The only real reason that Xenosaga isn't as "popular" is because FF has been around longer and Square is such a big name to contend with that people tend to become biased.
