Where is the best place to level up?

The place I went to level up is the odd shaped forest on the northern continent. Sorry I can't exactly remember the location...but I think it was around there. It had some tough battles, but it was good for leveling up to ascend that bitch of a tower. Have you done that yet? Cause make sure you have Life 3 for it...that'll save your ass. It's a must against the boss, unless there's an item that does the same.

yes the infameous dinosaur shaped dinosaur forest. can easily get 2 lv 99 there. just beware of the bracosaur's. their disaster and Ultima attacks will demolish u.

Yeah aeris2001x2 is right,this place is the best,i kept using vanish-x-zone and i easily got to level 99 with the most of players...

Vanish/X-Zone is a fairly unwise choice, you loose all your spoils that way.

I like leveling up to around LV 50, equipping some decent equipment and an EXP Egg then letting characters fight it out on their own. The EXP is plenty even at LV 98.

very true. best 2 stick with vanish/doom. then u will get those lovely econimisers

I believe you learn Vanish from Phantom.

And by the way, the desert south of Maranda is a great place to level up, too, especially if you have the Scimitar. The worms there can still kill you pretty quickly if you're ill-prepared, but they're easier to deal with than the dinosaurs north of the Veldt.

Worms are weak against ice, too, for the record. That'd be useful to remember.

The dinosaur forest is a great place to level up. A good time to start there is when you're about level 30-40-ish. If not, the monsters around the forest give a little less EXP when combined in their largest groups. Or the desert near Maranda which gives decent EXP and a crapload of Magic Points.

The dinosaur forest contains only two types of enemies, Tyranosaurs can be pretty easily put away, they usually only do a standard attack for about 400 (I think) and occasionally they'll cast Meteor. The other type is very rare, the elusive Brachosaur (which you can steal Ribbons off .) They have good defense and aren't nitpicky when it comes to casting Ultima.

My favourite place is that desert where the worms are attacking. Its really easy to level up there. There are also Cactrot´s attacking from which you get 10 Magic points and 10.000 Gil. From the worms about 2000 Exp and 5 Magic points and 10.000 Gil too.
