And personally, I always though squall and rinoa got it on while they were in the ragnarok on disk three. Also, Cid and Hilda obviously had sex in ff9 and it wasn't all that 'explicit' same with tidus and yuna in FFX. That's my opinion on this whole thing.

They hadn't even given voice to their feelings for one another, and Yuna was still feeling very vulnerable and in need of support, since (SPOILER)she was still convinced she had to die. Tidus, whatever people might think of him, wouldn't take advantage of a situation like that. I'm sure the kiss was as far as it went.
As for Rinoa... she admitted to being in love, and that she was still concerned about Seifer's welfare, but that, again, could be as far as it goes. On the Ragnarok, I'm sure nothing happened beyond what we saw, too. If it did, then their "first kiss" at the end would be meaningless. People don't usually have sex before admitting their feelings for each other, except in some sub-cultures of adolescents in today's society.

If these games were American, then it'd probably be different, because of the different cultural norms.

Why would they show it if it wasnt their first kiss? The whole point of the scene in the water was to showcase the culmination of their feelings from eachother, swimming together and sharing a first kiss. I dont think they'd fail to show or mention the first kiss, and then devote a long FMV scene to the second, third, or whatever kiss.

Oh, heh. Sorry about that. Same principal for VIII at the end, though. They built up to it so much, I dont see why they'd fail to show or mention their first kiss.

You think Square Enix would do that? I think the whole idea of it is kind of crazy. It doesn't seem like a kind of theme SE would use... but I suppose if they ever did plan on doing it, this would be the most serious game to do it in. I say its possible, but unlikely.

alright now that makes things clear now, so, yeah, why have 'em do it then show them having a meorable moment, i guess. though, it may have had more of an impact on squall, because he's this big loner in the beginning, and finally when he starts to rely on his friends, they're no were to b found, and he's alone again, and it hurts, so yeah, that'd also back up their first kiss idea
