because Anime is done in a beautiful manga style, while other crappy animation from the west is done in ugly poor style focusing on motion over detail and beauty. even good western animations are crappy in the animation department in my eyes.

Of course just because you prefer one over the other doesn't REALLY mean that becuase it's made in japan it's not a cartoon. Just because Saved By The Bell kicks ass doesn't mean it's not a TV show.

calling it a cartoon would be technically right and ok. however it has childish and negative connotations that really annoy me. if ppl did not use the term *cartoons* in an attempt to put down anime, then i would not have raised the issue.

Anime guys look so good..especialy from Evangelion Kaworu is so perferct,Kaji...and Kenshin too,and other that if i write them now i won't finish in an hour..however real-life boys are not bad but cannot be compared with anime guys...

While I haven't watched much anime at all... the few pictures I've seen still force me to agree with Aeris.
Anime girls are alot cuter.
I like asian girls. They're twice as cute, have eyes tiny enough to match mine and have slightly saner hairstyles. Unlike anime girls, I am able to physically touch them as well (with consent)
Sometime times desperation can go to far. I think some of you need to get out more...
