Kuja, in my opinion, is a great villian, because he totally epitomizes the things that madehim a villian in the first place: Human weakness. Final Fantasy IX is a story about human nature more than anything else. The game shows a clash between human weakness, and human strengths. Everything that motivates kuja is negative, whereas *most* things that motivate zidane are positive. It shows that with determination, and a positive outlook, great things can be accomplished.
