Are you typing on a laptop? A lot of people have touchpads on their laptops down by where they rest their wrists so when they type it moves the mouse cursor on them and does funny things.

    VNC isn't great for mouse-usage.

Escobar, try a different keyboard and mouse, and/or try your keyboard and mouse on some other computer. If you still have the problem, then, well, reinstall Windows.

VNC + mouse works great if you've got a good link speed to the other machine though, and are using version 4+ with the shell hooks installed on the server (probably Windows only, I'd guess) - huge improvement in responsiveness and precision and such over 3.x

Change the sensitivity of the touchpad with whatever software the manufacturer provided, to try and reduce it happenning if it is due to your hand accidently brushing it while typing

No it's not that. I make sure I don't touch the pad and it still does.

Laptops have ports to plug in peripherals don't they? Some do, anyways.
