The majority of sequels fail miserably. I'm thoroughly against this.
i didn't think spaceballs 1 was funny.
Your sig is too hilarious and witty, thus i have removed it to protect the minds of all forum goers

Presumably it will spoof the sequels, and only require Mel Brooks to return
Very true. Rick will probably join as well since he's been doing jack squat since then.Originally Posted by Doomgaze

Hm, the first one was a long time ago, but parodies can be made whenever there is enough material to furnish them. Like kishi said Star Wars gets parodied often and I'm not sure if it can be fresh, but if anyone can do it Brooks can.

they waited this long to do a sequel? why? at this point.. dont bother. by now its cliche to mimic star wars, and todays generation might not understand the greatness of the first space balls.. not to mention it just wouldnt be the same without john candy ::sob::

Hopefully it will be well written. Mel Brooks is getting up there...it'd be nice to see him make a new movie--he hasn't done one since Dracula: Dead and Loving It.
