Perhaps if more people saw this film, then they'd really understand what's going on around us. Frankly, I've known much of what this movie says for a while now and it's absolutely beyond me how anyone buys into these "Swift Boat" lies.

    Take care all.

I think he served honorably as a Vietnam Veteran, but its what he did when he got back from the war, I think ticked alot of Vietnam Veterans off. Like dishonoring the people that served over there and went to congress and accussed his fellow vets of atrocities he's never witnessed.

But other then that this documentary might be good...

Kerry was right in what he did after Vietnam. That's one of hte only positive things about him in my opinion. He fought a pointless war, saw people killed and maimed for nothing. So he did what was right: He tried to put a stop to that attrocity once and for all. I fail to see how one can even argue against this. If you are against what Kerry did after the war, then in my mind you are for senseless slaughter.

    Amen.

However, I think the problem now resides in the fact he brags about fighting there. That, I find annoying. I wouldn't feel proud of that.

The war was bad. But Kerry cant say that his fellow troops rapped, murdered, and razed villages. He cant say are own troops commited those atrocities when he did not witness them at all. And to say what you just said, just say that to a vietnam vet who was disgusted with what Kerry did after he came back.

But anyways, yeah you can just say what he did was right, its okay for people to say stuff about stuff they never witnessed. Its very credible that way.

Yeah, he's just using it for votes.

Well whether or not any vets want to admit it to themselves, those things did go on over there. My both my Uncles have told me about it, and pretending like it didnt happen isnt the answer. John Kerry was my uncles' voice to the congress and the people with real power when he did that. I personally respect that aspect of him.

Kerry serving in Vietnam was a good thing. He fought for his country. Kerry speaking out against the war once he returned is ok, if that was what he believed. As a soldier, he was willing to die for the right to speak against the government. He was free to exercise that right. However, if he wasn't proud of his service in Vietnam, he has a lot of nerve to use it as a tool for winning the election. It's an example of the character flaw that's severely hampered the Kerry campaign thus far - Kerry's eagerness to support both sides of the same issue or flip-flop between them multiple times. Does Kerry realize how easily he could've had this campaign if he only stuck to his guns on an issue? He would've had my support if he had a backbone. I was looking for an excuse to replace Bush, but sadly, Sen. Jellyfish Kerry couldn't produce.
