Kerry serving in Vietnam was a good thing. He fought for his country. Kerry speaking out against the war once he returned is ok, if that was what he believed. As a soldier, he was willing to die for the right to speak against the government. He was free to exercise that right. However, if he wasn't proud of his service in Vietnam, he has a lot of nerve to use it as a tool for winning the election. It's an example of the character flaw that's severely hampered the Kerry campaign thus far - Kerry's eagerness to support both sides of the same issue or flip-flop between them multiple times. Does Kerry realize how easily he could've had this campaign if he only stuck to his guns on an issue? He would've had my support if he had a backbone. I was looking for an excuse to replace Bush, but sadly, Sen. Jellyfish Kerry couldn't produce.
