So, when a person changes their mind about an issue, due to new developments and facts, that doesnt make them an intellegent person, instead it makes them a flip-flopper?
I'd much rather have someone who can admit to wrongs and change for a better future that someone that blindly stays on target no matter how wrong he's proven.

Bush is usually staunchly consistant, even when outright caught in a lie. The only thing I've noticed him flip-flopping in is the reasons for invading Iraq. First it was because Saddam had ties to Bin Laden (a lie), then because Iraq had WMDs (also a lie), and then because we needed to liberate the Iraqi people. That seems like flip-flopping to me, not just changing one's mind because of new facts. In fact it seems like a desperate bunch of changes in order to justify attacking Iraq.
I've noticed that President Bush's campaign spends a lot of time trying to discredit Kerry. However, their idea of "discrediting" him is simply to say, "Flip-flopper! Flip-flopper! Flip-flopper!" over and over, like a school child trying to taunt a five-year-old girl.
Fortunately, this simply eliminates any effect or power those words might have, turning it into something laughable.[q=noname]He even voted for the patriot act, and now is against it. :\ And alota other things...[/q]How many re-drafts did that Act get before it was passed? How many crucial provisions were altered, making them more severe?
That is the kind of detail that actually matters, and that's exactly the kind of detail that Bush's PR team purposefully ignores.
It's entirely possible that the Patriot Act, when introduced, was not as draconian as some claim it is now. Kerry might only have begun to oppose it after it was altered into something he disagreed with.
However, Bush's crew would never mention such a fact - if it were true - because that's take away their chance to chant "Flip-flopper! Flip-flopper! Flip-flopper!" one more time.
Kerry's not the only flip-flopper, as President Bush was also guilty of doing so too.
