Big D, on Bush's campaign against Kerry

click on the video labeled "Bush vs Bush" (top-right corner)

Despite the republicans best efforts to brainwash america into thinking Kerry is a "flip-flopper" the truth remains that nearly every politician "flip-flops" on issues. Only some candidates have more productive things to talk about rather than making petty accusations that practically everyone's guilty of. Kthx.

I like how, in my history class (full of rabid Bush supporters, who support him for no real reason other than he is currently President and that John Kerry is ugly), there was a kid (a senior, by the way, who is in a 10th grade European history class) who said that in the course of Kerry's campaign, the democratic convention has tried to do nothing but make jokes at the Republicans, where Bush and the Republicans take everything very seriously and make sure that all the facts are presented properly.

I live in Texas, obviously a Republican stronghold, and more than the whole concept of "flip-flopping" which I understand that every politican does, I've never really caught on to exactly what Kerry's values and stances even are. Now, fundamentally, I'm a Republican, but that's fundamentally; I am not a supporter of the Republican Party (I hope we can all see the difference).

I am also a fellow Republican, but I don't plan on voting for Bush. =P

Apparently, I have been declared banished.

I think Kerry made a pretty good argument against his so called Flip Flopping in the first debate. It's better to have a president who can realize when he's made an error in judgement, rather than one who will commit himself something to the very end. I live in an extremely conservative state, and hear an incredible amount of un-backed statements about Kerry, such as "He's a pansy" or "He's a flip flopper." I don't see how he could be a pansy, what with the going to war thing...and some people make the excuse that he looks like a horse. And I say...so what? :jap:

I'd simply like to point out that as Final Fantasy fans, we've never flip flopped, have we? I mean, especially after we beat *current favorite FF game* Note to all: Everyone flip flops. A better word for it is "fickle".
    How disgusting

What makes this different from any other politician anywhere in Washington D.C., or across the country for that matter? It doesn't matter if it's Joe Shmoe from Anyville County, Wyoming; Jane Shmoe from Whatsit City, Arkansas; or good ol' John Kerry from Massachusetts. Chances are, every single politician has flipped their stance on a given issue at least once? Why?

    Because of us, basically.

EDIT: And by "us", I mean a politician's constituency as a whole. So we can avoid all of that nasty "they don't listen to young people" stuff.

I hate Kerry and Bush both, but to the whole world, nobody is more of a "flip-flopper" and hypocrite than George W. Bush.

"Flip-Flop" is the name of a games section on a game show called "The Price Is Right", in Australia.

Aussieland has The Price is Right? I didn't know that. We've had it in the US...for a real loooooong time now.

But umm what does that have to do with the price of rice in China?

Really? Amazing, because I know of similar "game" that also has "flip floping" integrated into it this year. It's called the "American Presidential Elections" I don't know if you've heard of it, but it's riot. Not very popular here in the U.S. though.
