Not to scare anyone, but consider this food for thought:

"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." Hermann Goering said that at the Nuremberg trials.

When even Pat Buchanan says Bush and his band has gone too far, that tells you something since Buchanan is about as Conserative as they come to begin with. It would seem, ironically, Bush has become an almost Liberal Republican in his ideas and Administration because they are all centered around giving more and more power to the Government which is a Conservative no-no.

A final note:

I did some research on my own through my local public library and called up some published essays written by current members of the Bush Administration. What I found was something very chilling written by Paul Wolfowitz circa 1996:

"it would be hard to sell a pre-emptive strike to the American people, unless a "catastrophic event -- like a new Pearl Harbor" made it seem necessary."

Not to start any theories, but the evidence seems overwhelming.

Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, Independent, American, European, Asian, etc, you would always hope that government, at least in some level, has intentions of looking out for more than its own self-interest. In the last 40 or so years, the USA's government has been sliding down a slippery slope and perhaps soon we shall be hitting rock bottom with this problem.

Take care all.
