Why did you not operate on the vacuum and retrieve the hair? That's what I did when I lost my earring in the vacuum.

Because I didn't know about it until I looked for the hair a few hours later. Hair doesn't tend to fare that well in a vacuum cleaner.
EDIT: I will make sure I burn any envelopes that arrive from Mik and dmka. Or just forward each envelope to the other person.
