So, what, I'm the only one that saw it?
Trey Parker and Matt Stone are teh genius.
This is a wonderful wonderful movie.
I have not seen it yet but I very much want to see it. I am really surprised that this movie got better than average ratings. This seems like the type of movie critics would rip to shreads.
I've passionatley follow South Park since the begining and there a lot of similarities to that and this wonderful movie.
My favourite part is when they're describing the three types of people in the world. So much fun...
I also enjoy the fact that they don't bother trying to hide the strings and such, and when the puppets fight, they just bang them together.
Overall, best movie of the year!
(followed closely by Shaun of the Dead)
I saw the sneak preview last weekend in Los Angeles, loved it! My favorite part was the soundtrack I think. The Pearl Harbor song was great, so was the montage song. Great stuff.
And yes, Shaun of the Dead was excellent also.
Yeah, I saw like the beginning of it on mtv, it was so hilarious that guy was just puking for 4 minutes, with the background music going. It reminds me of that show that showed back in the 1990s I think, Thunderbirds! But Trey Parker and Matt Stone, pulled it off and made it funny.![]()
Heh, they took the Montage song from the Asspen episode of South Park.Originally Posted by Necronopticous

The idea behind the movie was completely stupid, at least that's what I thought viewing the previews...
They managed to take every aspect of what is going on in todays political climate, incorporated every group, and poked fun at it all. One of my favorite scenes is when all the actors go at it with Team America. That was great.
I sensed a distinct Conservative edge to the film as the White House seemed to get a free pass. Anyone else notice this?
Take care all.
I wish I could say^. I haven't seen it yet; I don't think I'm going to, though, because none of my friends relaly like that kind of humor. So it's going to have to be dvd in a couple months!
It's good to hear positive things about it though. But if it's made by the creators of South Park...

conservative? are you joking? The thing with Matt and Trey is that they HAVE no political leanings. They hate everyone with an equal unbridled passion. in rolling stone they said that, if anything, the film was "Anti-Actor" And said that when they voted, they voted opposite to cancel each other out.
But yeah, most brilliant movie ever. reportedly, they had to cut the Marionette sex scene short by something like 5 minutes, removing a number iof...questionable practices that would ahve earned a PUPPET FILM an nc-17 rating. halrious. if you HAVEN"T seen it, and aren't terribly easily offended, go see it immediately. immediately. as in, right now. so stop typing.
Overall I thought the movie was OK. I was a bit disappointed, but what can you expect? Some of it was funny, but other things were stupid. I'd give it a 5/10 (1 being the lowest, 10 being the highest). It was funny, but most of the movie was stupid.
:rolleyes2
Team America: World Police is film-making at its finest. I don't think I've ever laughed so hard at a non-live action movie. It was just so stupid, yet so funny. I would also have to say it has the greatest soundtrack of any movie I've ever seen. Ever. I have been singing the theme song all day and am buying the soundtrack as soon as it gets into stores.
Overall, would see again.
Don't read this.
Seriously, just don't.
