LostProphets- Last Train Home
It was the first song I heard when a girl turned me down. I was in a sad mood, anything could bring me to tears, even the spongebob squarepants theme tune

I would love to be happy, but unfortunately I'm too busy being awesome and kicking your ass at everything

Evanescence - My Immortal
No other song has made me more sad. It's one of my favorite songs.
And just about every song of Keanes album hopes and fears
I would love to be happy, but unfortunately I'm too busy being awesome and kicking your ass at everything
You've got to be kidding. That's Metallica's worst song EVER :( (and sorry in advance if I missed your point if I understood the word "obscure" wrong... so if you meant that it's so BAD that it makes you sad, then I understand x))Originally Posted by thornwithin
Nothing Else Matters, though, once made me cry, when I was on their gig at Helsinki for the first time in my life - and it was so amazing (since Metallica's my favorite band) that I had to shed a tear :)
Also some movie themes (when I listen to them while watching the movie) make me sobby, but that really is their job in the film, duh x).
Some themes are already sad in theirselves, meaning you don't have to watch the movie to feel touched by the theme. I think Braveheart's theme describes these kinds of themes well.
Right now no other sad songs come to mind. Bleh
I'm listening to...
Fevered lovers and austere thinkers
Love equally, in their ripe season
Cats powerful and gentle, pride of the house
Like them they feel the cold, like them are sedentary
- Charles Baudelaire
Keane are pretty heavy

Eels - I need some sleep :fpexhaus:
REM - Nightswimming (reminds me of when I saw them at T in the Park at sunset and it was like a dream. ok so they didn't actually play nightswimming at T, but it still makes me think of that!)
How long has it been raining?
...Forever.
For me, The Smashing Pumpkins play most of my favourite Sad songs...
Here are my saddest...
Appels & Oranjes
("What if the sun refused to shine?, what if the clouds refused to rain? What if the silence let you dream? What if the air would let you breathe? What is, what is isn't you? What are you gonna do?")
Bjork songs also affect me...
Who Is It?
Dido...
Here With Me
"I think you'd make any (nice) woman happy... & I think you really deserve for someone to make you happy too for a change"
Broken - Seether/Amy Lee
"Everything has a purpose. It's your life's mission to find yours."
Earth Song ~ Michael Jackson
Bright Eyes - One Foot in Front of the Other
Non that make me cry, but i do have a number of CD's i built for depression days.
The Freshmen - The Verve Pipe is probably my biggest one. it came out way back in the glory days of the ninetys, before rap metal took over, and you enver, ever hear it anymore on the radio (least, not around here)
Beethovens Sonata de Luna is big on my list to, as is a bunch of stuff by Radiohead
Crime of the Century by Supertramp is freaking Brilliant, the same for a few songs on the "Breakfast in America" disc, And Smashing Pumpkins "Rain" is incredible (from Machina)
