Give him five nuts the first time, then three nuts the second time.
That'll get him flying without packing on too many kilos.
Then, talk to the guy standing by the game. He'll give you 30 GP for showing him how it's done. Handy when you first arrive at the Saucer.
Yes, the way you know to keep feeding him is his tummy with growl...when he eats a nut and his tummy doesn't growl afterward, stop feeding him...you'll win if you repeat this process.
And the point is to get 30GP, which is nifty.
