Where's the best place to level quickly right before Kefka's Tower?

I've done everything else and am ready for the end of the game....but some of my people just aren't up to the task yet. Where's the best place to go grab a few levels fast?

The two best places in the game to level up are in the Dinosaur Forest and just outside of it. Tyranosaurs give great experience and if you aren't up to Tyranosaurs yet fight just outside of the forest, as fighting four tumbleweeds gives comparable experience most of the time.

You could also try the desert just south of Maranda. The Worms are tough to beat, but they give a boatload of experience. Also, Cactuars will show up every once in a while, too, and those are worth 10 Magic Points and 10,000 GP.

You can win exp eggs at the colosseum.

If I recall you can start the loop by wagering Imp Halbreds and then wagering whatever you win until you get the Exp Egg. You can get plenty of Halbreds from the Tyrannosaurs in the dino forest.

Cat Hood --Hoover--> Merit Award
Merit Award --Covert--> Rename Card
Rename Card --Doom Dragon--> Marvel Shoes
Marvel Shoes --Tyranosaur--> Tintinabar
Tintinabar --Dark Force--> Exp. Egg

Of course, there are some other ways to get that stuff (Megalixier --Siegfried--> Tintinabar, Elixir --Cactrot--> Rename Card, etc.).

You get 2 tintabars throughout the game anyway.

You could always just buy 99 fenix downs and bet those for rename cards!

Of course, make sure to give the person who fights the cactrot a sniper sight relic so they can actually hit the bugger.

Magicite -> elixer (chupon), which, we all know, isn't going to be beaten, so give up there.
