Well that's simply politics. They know that we know it's false. However the same happens in all of the planet, most politicians lie, and that's simply because sometimes it is unavoidable. And not only US politicians lie, but german also, and french and british and chinese and argentinian (especially argentinian, God sometimes I'm ashamed of my country).Oh yeah, the Iranies are researching nukes for energy purposes alright!!
