Is your first FF game your favorite?

I have this theory that most people end up liking their first Final Fantasy the most.(I mean, it must have been good enough to get them to play more and it has almost a nostalgic feeling to it when you replay) FF8 was my first FF (well to play a lot of, I actually played 7 first at my friends house) and I still think it is by far the best. (I love the junction system and the character development owned ) Go ahead and post your views on your first FF.

Hmm, I think this does apply to a lot of people. For me, however, it doesn't. The first Final Fantasy I ever played was Final Fantasy I on the NES. While I am fond of the game, I don't think it's the best in the series, nor to I enjoy it the most. Final Fantasy VIII is my favorite all around installment.

It doesn't aply for me. My first was VIII and although it is a great game, it can't match up with VI and VII.

The first Final Fantasy I played was FFVII, I do love the game, but FFVIII is my all time favourite.

Yeah...its a really hard question to answer.

My first FF was FFVII and sometimes its my favorite...and other
times FFVIII is my favorite...and so it keeps spinning...I can't decide
which Final Fantasy game is my favorite.

FFVI was my first FF and it's still my favourite so I would agree with that theory. However, it seems that it is not true...

FF9 is my first final fantasy, and i think its definatly true! FF9 is just simply the best ff ever.

Guilty as charged. Final Fantasy IV was my first, and it's still my favourite. Albeit I love Final Fantasy VI just as much (sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on my mood), but that may be because only 2 months passed between my first playthrough of IV and my first playthrough of VI.

Yeah, I would hope Mystic Quest wouldn't be anyone's favorite Final Fantasy.

Final Fantasy I was my first, right after it first came out. I love the game, and yes, it does give me a nostalgic feeling to replay it, but I don't think I'd call it my favorite. To be honest, I don't know if I can call ANY of them my favorite...it's so hard to pick!

My first Final Fantasy was 7, which I did like alot because it was my first rpg ever and introduced me to the genre.

However, I later played 8 and absolutely disliked it..

I was about to give up on the RPGs in general, but then I saw an adversement for 9.

I decided to give the final fantasies one more shot, and ended up buying it. Final Fantasy 9 is now my absolute favorite in the series and modivated me to get as many of the other final fantasies as I could.

So my favorite Final Fantasy was my 3rd~!

My first Final Fantasy was actually the first, but I was too young to understand what it was, so I don't count that one. Aside from that, my first Final Fantasy game was Final Fantasy VII, which also got me hooked on RPGs (unless you count The Legend Of Zelda as RPG, but I count it as mostly action).
However, it is not my favorite. It was for a while, and then I played Final Fantasy Tactics, which is now my favorite game of all time, and like Ayamaoko, it is my third Final Fantasy game to play (not counting FF1). After beating FFVII, I went to Final Fantasy VIII, and in the middle of that, I rented Final Fantasy Tactics.
After playing it, I searched and searched at the stores for, but couldn't find it. Then, Squaresoft (now known as Square Enix) re-released it as a 'Greatest Hit' game, and I immediately bought it for the $15 they priced it at.

Oh ya, im canadian and american and canadian currancy dont have the same value, so they would be priced differntly
