Yes you need 100% to get the perfect ending.
As for the song, I've only been able to find it in Japanese.
You need to get 100% AND perform the criteria for the good ending to get the perfect ending.
And can't you download 1000 Words off of this site?
I think you can get "1000 Words" from this site, but it's only the abridged version used in the game. I have the full version of Jade's rendition. I could post it if there was interest for it...

Sorry guys, I can't. I've tried at least 3 times to compress it, but I can't seem to figure it out. The song file is just too darn big! If anybody has an alternate solution, let me know.
HeHe....i have got both the Japanese version and the English version for "1000 words" but dunno how to share it in the forum...>< sori....
but i can tell u where to download it. Go to imesh.com and download the installation for the server, once u have register(for free) u can share and find almost anything. I found the "1000 words" Game version in there.
by the way, i have forgot to ask.....
i have just completed the game with a poor effort of 89% completed. How come I couldn't see the ending wif Yuna and Tidus. Will Tidus only appear in the perfect ending or not??
