I use IE and I don't get my Spyware from it. I get it from my moron...idity of using MIRC and Kazaa-lite. MIRC when I was more of a noob when using and Kazaa just because you can't always be certain of every video file or music file you download and I am too lazy to check every single one of them.
What the hell do you people do to get so spyware ridden?
I can point you to some nice pages....
Which is nice, because at work, if anybody has a problem and isn't using IE, I have to tell them that it's not supported and they HAVE to use Microsoft's festering piece of sewage.Originally Posted by Baloki

And yes I agree its nice to see people suggest firefox every so often but 4 people to rant and rave about it in every thread about IE and tottally ignore the posters problem isn't very nice and unluckly I hate to break it to you guys but switching to firefox isn't always the be all and end all in fixing problems.Originally Posted by Citizen Bleys

Actually, it kind of is. 99% of browser problems exist only in IE
Yams summed up what I was going to say quite nicely. I like pushing Mozilla not because it's superior but because if they get enough market share of internet browsers then Microsoft will be forced to make quality enhancements to IE. Microsoft has become complacent in the last few years because Netscape pretty much died and they had no competition.
Like it or not new releases of Firefox benefit all because it forces all browser parties involved to improve their browser.
That's because 90% of the problems won't be an issue with installing and using Mozilla, which takes about 10 minutes, or we can go through a convoluted process of updating settings in Windows, getting updates to software or reinstalling pieces or all of the operating system. Yeah, we say use Mozilla but that's also because it's the easiest fix nine times out of ten.Originally Posted by Baloki
I wouldn't offer Firefox as a solution if it wasn't the best/easiest solution.
Is that why you stopped offering Gentoo?![]()
