    Default CD-R Drive won't open

I dunno what's wrong. My CD-R drive always used to open when I pushed the button for it to open. Now it won't. I dunno what's the problem (it's probably that my computer is ANCIENT) but I'd like to know if at least this crappy old computer still can burn CDs, cause I'm in the mood to do just that.

Does the light light up on the front? If not the power cable inside may have come loose.

A lot of CDs have a tiny hole on the front. You jam a straightened paperclip into the hole and it will manually force the door open. That's what you do if a CD gets stuck in there or something.

Mine doesn't have that hole, I checked. But it doesn't light up anymore, and as we always unplug the computer to get to fixed, I think you're right about it coming unplugged. I'll ask my parents to check it out later. Thanks!
