    Lacuna Coil is goth?

I like The Cure. I'm not familiar with the Smiths.

I don't like whiney goth people.

Nightwish has nothing in common with "goth" bands. They are symphonic / power metal, it's written all over them.

I think it's really funny to see how back in the day, The Cure was considered THE goth rock group, singing catchy love songs that keep getting covered in Adam Sandler movies. Now you've got Marilyn Manson, singing anti-Christian and anti-government anthems. Times have changed.

I always have a hard time classifying groups. I know I like Lacuna Coil a WHOLE lot though. KoRn as well.
I'm on a Mindless Self Indulgence kick right now though so I haven't listened to much of those two.

Old goth was actually a bit sinister. These days they try too hard and end up looking rather silly.
