Okay, I don't expect many VC(not Vince Carter :P) fans here, but for those who are...how did you become a fan of her?

Personally, when I first heard A Thousand Miles 2 years ago, it was a song that I was completely hooked on. I know people compare her to like, Tori Amos and Fiona Apple and other non-Alicia Keys-piano-female artists, but her voice is kind of unique. It's a bit nasally, but not too much like Nelly Furtado. I just got her new album Harmonium and I must say, it's by far my favorite album. I've kinda put Eminem's Encore on the backseat for now.

She's got a good voice(though not great), but she's one of the best song writers in the business and she is a very talented piano player and that combination just appeals to me.

So yeah, discuss...bitches.

She played at half time of a Lions Thanksgiving game a couple years ago. I remember she was wearing a stocking hat and my Dad commented on how it was probably hot to be wearing one of those indoors.

I've studied vocal octaves and Vanessa does not have more than a single-octave range.
Her vocal is flat and plain but she does however know how to work
a piano -- she's very talented, but not a great singer.

I liked "A Thousand Miles", and I like her latest, "White Houses". I think she's better than Michelle Branch, which is who alot of people have mistaken her for and is to her as Britney is to Christina.

Yeah, that's what I've been saying. She has a good voice, but it's not that great.

As for as "Mitchell" Branch is concerned(It's Michelle btw :P), she's a guitar player rather than a piano player. You can say she's more of a Tori Amos more than anyone else.

Yeah, she doesn't sing good. I go for the deeper voices like Amy Lee and Christina Aguilera have anyways. But I love her lyrics and music. She's very talented at that.
