crimson speheres and agrya mainu dude...

okay i have most of the crimson spheres except the one with leblanc was meant to give me in the engine room (during chp4?) is there any way of getting it now im in chapter five?
plus this angrya mainu dude in bikanel desert in cht5 how do you beat him i have just been crushed by him four times in a row and all my characters are at level fifty already.
plus did it seem like this game was much more easier generally compared to the previous game cause during cht 1+2 my characters only ever did about100-200 damage even levelled up loads and none of the monsters seem to have as much hp as they did in previous game whats going on?
plus not being able to get lady luck dresssphere just because youre not a maths whiz really really really sucks i get up to about 37 credits and then i run out of time and shinra gets it the little *bleep* grrr.
plus (my last one i promise) when you play again in a "new game plus" mode, i know you then have all your levelled up dresspheres already but do you have youre completion score zeroed or does that carry on aswell?
    cheers.

Don't think there's anyway to do it without starting a new game (plus).

As for new game pluses, your completion percentage carries over.

Never beat Agrya Manu so I wouldn't know, I just ran every time, my only
real suggestion is maybe level up and get some more abilities. And as far
as HP, damage, etc, it is lower than in most games, for instance at lvl 99
with none of the dresspheres can you hit 9999 hp, including mascot which
gives you only like 7000 hp. But it's not really easier, it's a matter of
relativity, enemies do less damage, as do you, and they have lower hps,
but it's still balanced, the only real difference is that you won't hit any
damage or hp caps which is good and bad.

2 Dark Knights + 1 Alchemist = Good party against Angra

Have the DK's cast Darkness every round, and make the Alchemist use their Mega-Potion Stash, or Mix Potions with Hi-Potions for the Mega-Potion effect (it would be wise to have 99 Potions and 99 Hi-Potions for this approach). Casting Protect, Shell and Regen might not be bad ideas, either.

If you defeat the elemental boss thing at Level 40 of Via Infinito, you get the accessory Cat Nip, which makes every hit do 9999 damage if your character’s HP is low (yellow). So to defeat Agrya Manu, I had Rikku and Paine as white mages, and Yuna as a Gunner wearing Cat Nip. So the mages kept Yuna alive, and when her HP was low I got her to do Trigger Happy lvl. 2, and each hit did 9999 damage! About 3 of those, and he was dead. (It’s a good strategy for any boss… kind of like Zanmato in FFX!)

I think I had a Cat Nip Gunner, definitely had a Dark Knight, and my third character (I'm pretty sure) was a White Mage. I (think I) casted reflect on the boss so that his Curagas would hit me.

Thumbs up how to beat angra mainu easily

how to defeat angra mainu real easy? simple, in my party i had a berserker, a samurai (or dressphere who can attack MP) and a theif (the theif use pilfer MP and its the quickes). the trick is : sap all of angra main body of MP (he as 9999 Mp, which is much lower than his HP), he won't be able to do anything exept osmose but his magic side will bust your MP so he won't have any MP to suck from you. the beserker is only here to distract angra by attacking his phisycal side so he when it is dead, he will always resurect it, and then, just trow yourself an item who do reflect for his magical side and it will be easy. conclusion : angra doesn't have any MP left and neither do you, his phisycal side is dead and is magical side is hitting himself because you have reflect on you.

    Default Angra Mainyu

When i beat Angra Mainyu, I had a berserker, gunner and an alchemist. First i went to the 40th floor of the cloister of trials and got the catnip accessory, gave it to Yuna (gunner) and went into battle. Make the alchemist keep mixing holy water and any gem (which makes white hole and deals up to 9999 damage) and make yuna keep doing trigger happy to the mainyu part, keep doing this for about 5 times, and as soon as you kill mainyu, the rest of it dies aswell. You also need to level up a bit, (i couldn't beat it until i was on level 88, 89 + 90.) Because it kept killing me with perditions flame because i didn't have many hit points.
    hope it helps a bit.

You just asked all the questions I wanted to ask

I'm still stuck with trying to beat that angra dude too. He keeps killing me with flame, and that other attack when everything drops down on you from the sky I might try what emily has suggested. Though I have not used alchemist yet so I'll have to level up the ap quite a bit first. I'll let you know how it goes, or if I find another way of beating him.

When I faced it, I already had two catnips. It didn't last long.
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it.

I bet the angra boss, took me quite a while though. I didn't use the method of draining his MP, though I let him drain mine until I had zero all. I equipped Paine as Alchemist with Megapotion learned and used this every round. I equipped Rikku with Dark Knight, and used the Darkness ability, cos it damages all three enemies at the same time. I equipped Yuna with Beserker, cos the Howl ability allows her HP to double.

To begin, you should get Paine to mix Light Curtain x 2 to create Wall, this helps MAJORLY.

You should also equip accessories such as Ribbon, Force of Nature, have Beserker mastered (as it evades physical and magical attacks), and definitely have their levels at at least 70.

    Angra's straightforward.

Have a Ragnarok equipped on a WhiteMage, and Crystal armor+[thatarmorthatgivesHP+100%] on both Dark Knights.

-Cast Curaga every round - it will only cost 1 MP.
-Your Dark Knights will be using Darkness all the time.
-If you run out of MP, absorb some from Angra. He has 9, 999 MP.

Correction, having the Ragnarok equipped makes spells cost 0 MP during battle.

Meh, what's the difference. You'll never get your MP to 0 anyway.
