I'm assuming you're all just as engrossed in this game as I am (10 hours of game clock time but more of my own) since I got it Teusday evening. At least, that's your only excuse for not having something great to say about this by now!
I had to make a decision between Half-Life 2, Metroid Prime 2 and Metal Gear Solid 3. I went with MGS3 for now. I tend to play the livingout of those games for about a month on all the difficulty levels and stuff so I went with that. On top of that I already got Halo 2 so FPS action is taken care of(even though the single player is a sorry excuse for a game).
I haven't gotten it yet - I'm in the middle of an FFX-2 playthrough, and then I have to choose between that and MGS3.
I'll have it by Christmas. Been looking forward to this for a long time.
Not my words Carol, the words of Top Gear magazine.
the first metroid prime was a beautiful game and fun to play, right up to the point where i got lost and had no idea where to go. So for that reason i won't get the sequel.
Your sig is too hilarious and witty, thus i have removed it to protect the minds of all forum goers

I currently have 12 hours of gameplay logged in. Metroid Prime 2 is somehow better than Metroid Prime. I'm loving it.
I'm not exactly sure on the details, but I'm at the part where you fight the giant dragonflyish creature right after fighting a whaleish creature. I did scan them and all, but I don't remember their names. I've gotten all the required items so far, plus the Darkbuster, two ammo upgrades (for 150 max), and enough missile upgrades for either 100 or 110 max (somewhere around there that ends with a zero). I just can't figure out how to defeat the giant dragonfly thing. The scan says to stun it with normal gunfire, then target the four weakspots, but I can't seem to get a lock on the weakspots, and I've yet to succeed in hitting them manually.

Thanks, but I already figured it out. Actually, I didn't figure it out, I looked it up at GameFAQs.
It figures that you have to sneak behing it...the one thing I didn't even think of...![]()
And that is what makes the game so great. The exploration and figuring things like that out. Plus how could you NOT know where to go. They pussied the game up by putting in that Map system that tells you where to go. Thank God they give you the option to turn it off(as I did).Originally Posted by gokufusionss1
I am a HUGE Metroid fan and it is probably my favorite franchise. I got Metal Gear because this is the fourth Metroid game in the past 2 years and this is the first Metal Gear game in the past 3 years.
I so wish I had the money for this game because I want to play it so badly![]()
