An acquaintance of mine is engaged to another acquaintance of mine in real life. When North Americans were finally allowed to get married, those two were the first to get married on Midgardsormr. I was invited to the wedding, and, yeah, I went. It cost me a Teleport-Altep scroll for the bride.
The whole wedding seemed incredibly scripted, and almost like it wasn't those two talking. I found out later that when you're going to get married, the GM that's in charge of the ceremony makes both of the soon-to-be-newlyweds make macros from a script. It's just creepy when one minute the bride's like, "lol guys this is gonna be fun" to "I do cherish and honor my husband. I will stay with him forever. Please accept this ring as a token of our oath."
