PC Patch Download

[Ouch!]

I've heard many mentions of this patch, but I have no idea what it does or where to get it. I have noticed, however, that when I installed FFVII on my newer computers (when my friend installed it on his as well), we cannot progress during chocobo races, which means we can't get past the race after leaving the Desert Prison.

If this patch would help, or even if it wouldn't, could someone please point me in the direction where I could find it?
