Common mistake. Don't take it seriously.
It's the same pronunciation just about, so it's no thing

Maybe it's the PAL (or german?) Version.
They changed some of the names:
Zell -> Xell
Seifer -> Cifer
Ultimecia -> Artemisia
I agree. It could be just an honest mistake. Anybody could do it.

I think it was in Japanese language or something....I mean the Zell/Xell thing...
